Sephora Splurge

Did a little Sunday Funday Sephora splurge! every time I go there I end up with wanted more then what I initially went in there for..they get me all the time!

So a friend of mine mentioned something about getting her makeup done at Sephora for free and I said "WHAT? how? I always PAY $50 for a gift card or product" she explained to me that if you spend over $1,000.00 (which I definitely do) a year you get upgraded to a Red Card " Sephora VIB Rogue" which includes free makeup application and this is one of the reasons why I went into Sephora to inquire about this since I have been paying all these years!! they checked my file and said I was eligible apologized that no one had told me sooner and gave me my new card :)

I initially needed to get my primer that I ran out of I use the Sephora Perfecting Ultra-Smoothing Primer as I have mentioned in my previous posts this is my fav primer and is an affordable price.

I  have been wanting to try the Nars Sheer Glow foundation as I have heard good reviews on it.  I have the Nars Sheer Matte foundation which I don't like too much as my skin is a bit dry I need something with more moisture in it and I usually don't like matte finishes I like a dewy glow.  Today I used the Nars Sheer Glow foundation for work today and I love it! it is light, creamy and has good coverage.  It is very similar to my Georgia Armani Illuminous Silk Foundation the differences to me are that the Nars has more coverage with less application and with the Georgia Armani the more you put on the more coverage you get the Georgia Armani also smells AMAZING so its still my fav foundation.

Before the Beauty Blender was here I use to use my hands for applying my face lotion, primer, foundation, and concealer.  I never really liked using brushes as I feel it leaves a streaky mark on your face and I feel with your hands it really blends into your skin more.  Once the Beauty Belnder came out I fell in LOVE with it I do feel it is a bit pricey ($30) so I try to keep mine for as long as I can and in good condition.  I have purchased other brands that have been a lot cheaper and for some reason the Original Beauty Blender is the best by far.  I also saw some new micro mini beauty blender  that were SO CUTE they are for smaller areas under the eyes etc. I usually use the round end of my Beauty Blender to apply my primer and foundations and for concealer I turn it around and use the pointier end therefore I don't feel I need to get the mini beauty blender..i may give them a try later on.

I have been wanting to try the Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector that everyone is ranting about but it was sold out in stores..luckily they had some online (and with my Sephora VIB Rogue I get free shipping) I'm so excited to try it! I got the shade "Opal" as I hear that is the more popular shades.. if anyone has tried a different shade and like it please let me know!!

I usually don't get liquid illuminizers or highlighters anymore since every time I buy one I don't like it and I've bought MANY of them.  I tested the Josie Maran Argan Oil Illuminizer on my hand and it was so beautiful and shimmery of course I had to get it..the difference between this and other liquid illuminizers is HUGE it actually shows a lot when you put it on ..I find all my other ones were very light and ended up being more clear and the shimmer never stood out.. this one is by far my FAV!! I applied a tiny bit on my cheekbones and nose and WOW it was instant highlight and a dewy glow which I LOVE..so glad I gave it a try.

Over the weekend I watched some makeup tutorials on YouTube on how to contour your face and nose..and a lot of them had darker foundation they used..all I use is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit so I wanted to get something in a liquid form as well as I saw that most of the MUA's used both to achieve the perfect contour look.  I asked someone in Sephora and got referred to the Becca Lowlight Sculpting Perfector this comes in one dark shade only which made it a lot easier and it is meant for contouring which is exactly what I needed!! it has the perfect bronze color with no orange pigments in it which is why I chose it..a lot of other contour sticks I tried had lots or orange color to them.  I am hoping to try this sometime next weekend will do a review once I try it!

I also picked up a new gloss for Bobbi Brown called "Brightening Gloss" it looks like a foggy white color but goes on clear I couldn't find it on the website but its really nice love it.

I also ordered online the "Give Me Some Lip" an exclusive new limited edition lip kit which I am very excited for!!  I have been wanting to try a Buxom and Smashbox gloss so this is the perfect little package also I tend to like nude or pink glosses and this kit has all that!!

I've been super busy with working on Lash Bunny I have finally chose my Model and Photographer and I am so excited for our launch so you can see who they are!!! (they are not local) I also did a model search locally and have found some beautiful models as well very excited for all the shoots to come and the launch of our website.
